Pharmacy Technician

Always in demand in Hawaii’s pharmacies

The Pharmacy Technician program provides the tools to enter the healthcare industry as a professional in a retail pharmacy, hospital, home healthcare setting, mail order, or pharmaceutical wholesaler’s industry.

As a Pharmacy Technician you may assist pharmacists in providing medications and healthcare products to patients. A certified Pharmacy Tech can receive and verify prescriptions and prepare patient medication.

In as little as 8-9 months, you will be able to gain experience in a pharmacy setting. After completion of a 100-hour clinical rotation externship, students have the option of taking the Certified Pharmacy Technician exam administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
